We already know the theme of this year's Met Gala. ("Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," in case you can't think of it off the top of your head.) Now we know the dress code for fashion's biggest night of the year.
Guests are encouraged to think of "The Garden of Time" when planning their outfits. The suggestion is based on the short story called The Garden of Time written by J.G. Ballard in 1962. There are two ways of approaching this. Attendees can embrace the garden aspect by wearing floral-covered frocks. Or they can go the less obvious route and wear something that involves timing. Of course, there are always a few rule breakers at the gala.
Make sure to watch the red carpet on Monday, May 6 to see how everyone interprets the code.
