The Met Gala is widely considered the Oscars of fashion. For good reason. No other occasion encourages celebrities to take fashion risks like the annual affair. Now we know the theme for next year's gala and we couldn't be more psyched.
"Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" is sure to inspire designers and stylists to go grand for the big event. The Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit will showcase around 250 pieces rarely displayed by The Costume Institute. Think a 17th century bodice from the Elizabethan Age, some of Christian Dior's famous gowns all the way up to more recent acquisitions. So expect to see stars also run the gamut at the gala.
The 2024 Met Gala takes place on May 6, 2024 while the exhibit premieres on May 10, 2024.
