After the initial shock of Sarah Burton departing Alexander McQueen wore off, everyone began wondering just who would replace her at the iconic fashion house. Well, now we know. Seán McGirr has just been announced as the new creative director.
McGirr has lots of experience in the field of fashion. The Central Saint Martins graduate served as the head of ready-to-wear over at JW Anderson. Previously, he designed womenswear for Dries Van Noten. McGirr has also worked with Christophe Lemaire via UNIQLO and at Burberry.
We'll have to wait and see how McGirr puts his stamp on such an epic label.
