Peter Do has an impressive résumé. He established his eponymous brand back in 2018 and was recently named creative director of Helmut Lang. Prior to that, the designer won the inaugural 2014 LVMH Graduate Prize then went on to work at Celine and Derek Lam.
Now comes word that Do is getting together with Banana Republic to design a capsule collection. According to the retailer, Banana Republic x Peter Do will incorporate Do's "refined detailing and signature design codes." The partnership seems like a natural fit. Banana Republic has long been a source of affordable yet polished pieces designed for the office. Do's creations are the epitome of quiet luxury and his tailored silhouettes offer personality even in their precision.
We'll have to wait until October to get our hands on the collaboration. The sure-to-be must-haves will be sold via Banana Republic's website and at select stores. No news on price points yet, but they'll probably be pretty reasonable. Which is another reason the capsule will be a hot commodity.
