The purpose of a belt is usually to keep something in place. Like the waistband of your pants or skirt. It tends to be woven through belt loops to make sure everything's secure. But belts don't have to be so one note. In fact, many designers are championing belts that serve as decoration rather than a stabilizing device.
Take Tory Burch. Several of the models on the brand's Spring 2023 runway were outfitted with a flashy mirror belt. It's not the only one cosigning this trend. Saint Laurent, Acne Studios, Altuzarra, Loewe and Jacquemus all have bold options available.
