It's not enough to just act, sing or model anymore. Most celebrities have at least one side hustle these days. Perhaps they're venturing into the producer landscape or collaborating with another artist. Many create their own beauty brand, see Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, Lady Gaga. While fewer decide to start their own fashion label, see Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, a couple of Kardashians...
Now it appears that co-designing a swimwear collection is the new way to go. Miami-based swimwear brand Montce just dropped its first-ever celebrity collaboration. To kick things off, Montce partnered with model, actress and entrepreneur Olivia Culpo. There's a range of swimsuit styles. Of course you have your bikinis. When it comes to tops, you have your choice of coverage. The shell-like Petal version, the Tori Ties Bandeau Bikini Top, the Brasil Wrap Bikini Top and the Cabana Bikini Top leave less to the imagination. Go with the Victoria Top or the Bandita Bikini Top if you desire more coverage. Naturally, the same goes for the bikini bottoms. The Binded Polly Bikini Bottom basically doubles as boy shorts.
Then there are the one-pieces, which are just as striking as their two-piece cousins. The Ky One-Piece is somewhat revealing thanks to its side cut-outs. But that's not all. The lineup also includes clothing. Like dresses, a corset, a cropped button-down and a variety of miniskirts. Sport them as swimsuit coverups or solo.
"As a longtime fan of the brand, I could not be more excited to be launching my first-ever swimwear capsule collection with Montce," says Culpo. "Together we have created a beautiful collection that puts a playful twist on classic swim styles and perfectly encapsulates my personal style throughout."
The limited-edition Montce x Olivia Culpo collection spans between $80 and $240. You can shop the swimwear at the Montce stores in Miami and Fort Lauderdale as well as on Montce's website.
The wave of celebrity-crafted swimwear lines is, fortunately, pretty impressive. Mindy Kaling and Andie Swim's joint offering boasted vibrant colors, flattering styles and even swim tops. Plus, they came in a variety of sizes so everyone can have a little fun at the beach or by the pool.
In July of last year, Lori Harvey unveiled another collab for PrettyLittleThing. One-pieces shared the spotlight with bikinis and even a sarong. The best part? Everything was super affordable running between $12 and $38.
If celebs keep producing swimwear lines of this caliber, we're willing to dive in collection after collection.
