Clothing brand collaborations have become the norm in the fashion industry. But somehow we never tire of them. Now two labels have just teamed up for one of the best partnerships to date. London's RIXO and Los Angeles-based brand Ciao Lucia have joined forces to create a collaborative summer capsule that features 12 bright and fun dresses to shop. "It was very fun, because I used to have a multibrand and bought RIXO for my store Shop Super Street, so I was very familiar with the brand and had met [the brand's cofounders] Orlagh McCloskey and Henrietta Rix years ago," explains Ciao Lucia Founder and Designer Lucy Akin.
Set to drop this Thursday, the brands' natural union depicts both of their signatures crafted into the collection's mini and midi dresses, including RIXO's whimsical and playful prints and Ciao Lucia's dainty chic pieces. McCloskey revealed the authentic creative process: "We didn't just take each other's best shapes and put a print into them. We actually worked into them together, pulling inspirations from bits of vintage that we'd find." Both brands share an appreciation of classic silhouettes boasting vintage-inspired lace and ribbon details.
