We don't have to tell you that there's a lot of flux going on in fashion right now. It seems like with every single day comes news that a designer is leaving or joining a fashion house. But today's announcement blindsided everyone.
In truly shocking news, one of the most beloved and, frankly, creative designers around has decided that it's time for the next chapter. The legendary Dries Van Noten released a letter today explaining that he'll be stepping down from the incredible brand he built. He reveals that he's been thinking about this move for some time and that he wants to focus on "all the things I never had the time for." Dries also says it's time to "leave room for a new generation of talents to bring their vision to the brand."
Dries' last collection will be the menswear Spring 2025 offering scheduled to drop in June. Meanwhile, the women's Spring 2025 collection will be crafted by the fashion house's studio team. It really is the end of an era.
