While the 2024 Met Gala brought a host of captivating style and beauty moments from the biggest stars, there was one appearance that the world (including us) was particularly craving to see — Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. Much to our dismay, fashion's power couple did not get to walk this year's green carpet to celebrate "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" due to Rihanna coming down with the flu, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Although the theme was interpreted in a number of awe-inspiring ways by Zendaya and Gigi Hadid along with more underwhelming outfits by the likes of Kim Kardashian, we were still anticipating that last-minute Rihanna and Rocky appearance that would truly satisfy our sartorial needs. For last year's Karl Lagerfeld-centered Gala, the dynamic duo arrived fashionably late in iconic ensembles that featured the Work singer's long white bridal gown with rosettes by Valentino, and the rapper's Gucci white button-up with a tie, plaid skirt, and bedazzled jeans combo.
