Fendi Coed Runway Show

It's pretty impressive to reach the 100-year mark. Especially for a fashion house these days when the luxury market is seeing such turmoil. Even though Fendi is currently without an artistic director of both ready-to-wear and haute couture along with its fur collections, the Italian brand plans on marking the occasion in a big way.

Silvia Venturini Fendi is creating a coed collection to be presented during Milan Fashion Week in February. (So we'e assuming the brand is nowhere near hiring a new womenswear designer.) She's not the only designer favoring the formerly unconventional format, however. Jacquemus, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Coach, Thom Browne, Bottega Veneta and Marine Serre are just some of the brands that decided to simultaneously present their women's and men's collections. It's definitely more cost-efficient since putting on a runway show is quite expensive.

This appears to be a one-off so we're not expecting Fendi to make coed runway shows a permanent part of its lineup. It's unclear if the brand has any other 100th anniversary celebrations planned. Stay tuned.
