Stuart Weitzman has been celebrities' go-to source for red carpet footwear for some time now. So it certainly isn't shocking to see Issa Rae take on a new role of brand ambassador. The actress, writer and producer is the face of the label's first-ever eyewear collection.
"I've been wearing glasses for most of my life, and I know what I like — styles that are sharp, sophisticated, stylish and comfortable to wear," admits Rae. "That's what Stuart Weitzman's shoes are known for, and this optical collection has all the same qualities."
The accessories brand collaborated with Safilo Group to produce the new chic frames. The initial offering will hit select opticians next month. A range of sunglasses is also in the works scheduled to drop in spring.
