We're big fans of Magda Butrym. So much so that we were preparing to shine a spotlight on the burgeoning eponymous brand with a roundup of its best spring pieces. Call it fate or karma or even coincidence, H&M just announced that its next collaboration will be with the label. Obviously, we're not Magda Butrym's only fans.
Magda Butrym H&M is all about celebrating femininity in bloom, which is a natural fit for spring. The collection relies heavily on roses, using the popular flower in its most popular shades, red and pink. It contains everything from womenswear to accessories and even jewelry. This actually marks the first time H&M has collaborated with a Polish designer. It also serves as a celebration of Magda Butrym's 10-year anniversary. So it's not surprising that the collection pays homage to the brand's most famous silhouettes and even some archival pieces.
"I really see this collection as a chance to invite people into our world – and to celebrate femininity, and the flower," explains the label's designer. "Each piece brings its own sense of Slavic romance, while paying homage to the history of our brand."
Highlights include a romantic red ruffled gown, a delicate crochet creation and a luxe burgundy coat. The accessory and jewelry games are also strong. See the strappy sandals with blooms decorating the heels, silver crystal-enhanced floral earrings and the striking silk headscarves.
We'll have to wait a bit to shop the collection. Magda Butrym H&M will be available on H&M's website and in select stores beginning April 24 and will probably sell out on April 24. So make sure to put a reminder on your phone.
