One of the benefits of enlisting an actual actor as a brand ambassador is that they can take on the role of any character for any campaign. Take Margaret Qualley. The Chanel representative stars in the French fashion house's Fall 2024 campaign as a cinematic heroine captured all around Paris.
Although there's much more than meets the eye. Photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin rely on trompe l'œil to trick viewers into thinking that Qualley is actually posing in the City of Light as opposed to being snapped in front of postcard-like backgrounds. She flaunts everything from black and golden silhouettes to a coat featuring some of Chanel's classic checks.
