Between the recent launches of Fenty Hair, Jhenetics and Too Faced on Amazon, it's safe to say that the beauty industry is booming. The latest brands to join the pool of innovation are NEST New York and Kopari as both just launched body mists.
As an already fruitful fragrance business, NEST New York is exploring new avenues of the perfume lane with hopes of appealing to a slightly younger crowd and capitalizing on the success of its home fragrances. The best way to accomplish this feat? An expansion to 888 Ulta Beauty stores that brilliantly coincides with the launch of five single-note body mists crafted with baobab oil, each priced at $39. Scents include Balinese Coconut, Madagascar Vanilla, Seville Orange, Turkish Rose and Indian Jasmine.
"We thought that perfume oils would double our fine fragrance business in three years, and they doubled it in nine months," explains founder Laura Slatkin. With the body spray category tripling last year, according to Circana data, the company's decision to expand was a no-brainer.
Meanwhile, Southern California's Kopari, originally known for its powerful SPF offerings, is a first-timer in the fragrance market. "We are the fastest-growing SPF brand, the top body SPF brand, and we have the top body SPF sku and the number-three body oil," says Kopari Chief Executive Officer Susan Kim. "We think about how to respond to what consumers have told us they love, and for example, they've wanted us to bottle up the scent of our body butter and body oil."
The beloved body brand has succeeded in doing just that and more by launching four hair and body fragrance mists available to purchase at a favorable price of $29. Perfume lovers can choose from fruit-infused scents like Kaanapali Coast made with coconut and vanilla and a union of mango and peach in Malibu Peach.
