There's been an ongoing game of designer musical chairs. Just the other day we were informed that Peter Hawkings is out at Tom Ford after less than a year in charge. Now comes word that Paul Andrew will be joining Sergio Rossi as the luxury footwear brand's creative director.
This appointment is a perfect fit. Andrew is best known for designing shoes, debuting his eponymous shoe brand in 2013. He became the first shoe designer to win the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2014. Although there's much more to Andrew than footwear.
He cut his chops at a variety of fashion houses, including Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Narciso Rodriguez and Alexander McQueen. Andrew even served as Salvatore Ferragamo's creative director a few years back.
"I am honoured and delighted to join Sergio Rossi as Creative Director, a world-renowned house of shoemaking whose roots and legacy speak to the lasting power of Italian savoir-faire," Andrew shares. "I look forward to building upon Sergio Rossi's own unique spirit of innovation and high craft as we propose a bright new vision for the brand today."
Andrew's first collection for the brand will be unveiled during the Fall 2025 season.
