Pinstripe is a classic pattern. Like plaid, leopard, gingham and houndstooth. Although pinstripe is more closely associated with corporate situations. That's probably thanks to all the three-piece suits there are decked out with the striking lines. You don't have to head to the office every day to rock the iconic stripes, however.

Some of the fashion houses would like to see you completely decked out in pinstripes. We're going to advise you to ignore all those matching sets. This time around try working in the pattern one piece at a time. So if you're going to sport a striped blazer, skip the coordinating vest and pants. Top off trousers with solid-color shirts. Style a dress with opaque tights and neutral footwear.
That doesn't mean you should only invest in one pinstripe piece, though. Especially since said stripes come in an array of widths and are set against various background colors. Don't worry if you can't afford the designer creations, there are plenty of lower-cost alternatives. Zara has a dynamite blazer. COS' cool coat is a great investment piece. The Frankie Shop's wide pants definitely won't break the bank. Neither will its maxi skirt.
Regardless of what you spend, pinstripes are actually pretty timeless. They may occasionally take a bit of a back seat to new trends, but they will always find their way back to the runways. So you can buy now and wear now and then wear them again come spring.
