Another era is coming to an end. After more than a decade, Sarah Burton is leaving her creative director position at Alexander McQueen.
Burton's definitely left her footprint on the brand. She interned at McQueen while attending Central Saint Martins. Upon graduating, she returned to the fashion house. Burton began serving as McQueen's head of womenswear in 2000 before taking over the brand after the tragic death of Lee McQueen in 2010.
Burton will wrap up her tenure with McQueen's Spring 2024 runway show during Paris Fashion Week later this month. No word yet on where the designer is headed next.
