As usual, fall is chock-full of trends. Leopard has already started making its comeback. Then there's ladylike dressing made all the easier with an onrush of collarless blazers flooding the market. Not to mention scarves coming out of everything from sweaters to dresses to shirts. All are worthy of finding places for in your wardrobe, but there's one autumn must-have that tops the list: suede clothing.
Now you've probably already got at least a few pairs of suede shoes and a handful of suede bags in your lineup. This time around, the emphasis is on clothing from blazers to tops to skirts and even jumpsuits. You can fill your closet with faux suede creations, but we've decided to focus on the real thing. While it may cost a tad more, it's definitely worth it since the pieces will hold up better in the long run.
When it comes to styling, suede on suede is perfectly acceptable. In fact, it's preferred. (This is where your stockpile of bags and boots comes in handy.) Although that can make for even more of an investment so feel free to only buy one item at a time. The fabric pretty much goes with everything. You're most likely used to seeing suede clothing in shades of brown or black. Those are definitely viable options, but we also want to introduce pops of color into the seasonal mix. From hot pink pants to a lime green vest and even an electric blue jacket, there are many ways to perk up your look.
