It was recently revealed that Blumarine was parting ways with Nicola Brognano. At the time we weren't sure who would be filling his shoes at the Italian brand. Now we know that Walter Chiapponi will be taking over the creative director role.
Chiapponi is the former creative director of Tod's so he definitely has the fashion chops to keep Blumarine growing. "The possibility of contributing to establishing a new phase for Blumarine is for me an opportunity to embrace new thrilling and important horizons, to expand my vision and to restore sense to artistic expression," Chiapponi shared on Instagram.
Chiapponi's first Blumarine collection will be unveiled during Milan Fashion Week in February 2024.
